Photography ContestProvides an opportunity for high school students to use their creative skills to visualize a statement from the Optimist Creed
Adopt-A-HighwayWe pick-up trash on 2 ½ miles of Highway 84 twice a year
Breakfast With SantaOn a Saturday in early we December, we host a pancake breakfast with Santa.  There are also free activities for children
Christmas Tree LotOur primary fundraiser is selling Fraser Fir Christmas trees.  This funds the majority of our projects
 Christmas FamiliesEvery year, we provide dinner and presents for two area families as selected by the UC Christmas Bureau
Five $2,000 ScholarshipsProvides five $2,000 scholarships to graduating seniors in Union County high schools.
Essay ContestWriting contest for high school students (Essays are due in mid-February)
Golf TournamentWe participate in the Optimist Golf Tournament which is normally held in September
Improved Students Party260 students from all UC elementary schools are selected as “Most Improved”.  They get to go bowling and eat pizza at Fox’s Bowling Alley in May
Oratorical ContestSpeaking contest for middle school and high school students (Preliminary contest is late March or early April.)
Playground at Optimist ParkBuilt by the Optimist members, this large playground was built in 2005
Take On SportsSports programs for the Exceptional Children in our area
Visual Arts Competition A contest for youth who are 11 years old and younger to express their creativity through painting and drawing.
